the paywall at NYT

Before it is that one would be asked to pay a flat fee in order for them to have full access to the NYTimes.com website, starting early in the year 2011, all visitors to the website will be given a certain number of free articles every single month.

This is a great idea, but I wonder if they would be able to pull it off as they are a bit skeptical, taking over a year with it to make sure that they do not have any major issues to deal with.
